The big sis and little sis exchange gifts at the final pep rally. Morgan was excited to receive another R.O. Cheerleader Bear!

Literary “Pumpkin” Book Characters

This was one of Morgan’s class projects. She created “Buddy” with a little direction from mom and dad. The dog collar was from her old Halloween costume, the tail was made out of pom poms, the legs and head were felt and the body was created by taping two pumpkins together. Morgan, free hand, drew the head and cut it out. We were so proud of her Literary Character.DSC_0801

STICKERS!

This was the third time stickers attacked Patrick. He seems to have a “thing” about placing stickers on his body!

Picture Day!

Morgan’s school let out at 12:00 so Nikki took Morgan, Lance and Megan to eat lunch and play at her house for the afternoon. When I got off work Nana had Morgan so I picked up Patrick and went over to Nana’s to take the Christmas card photo. The pictures turned out great!

November 15th Shreveport Appointment

Doc and I took Patrick to see Dr. Pressly on Monday. We waited three hours in the waiting room and then he spoke with us for an hour. It was a very long afternoon and Patrick was wonderful.
· Begin Zinc, Vitamin C and antibacterial hand sanitizer to help prevent the number of viral infections
· Keep a record of Patrick’s temperature for a week. Take temp. if he complains of joints hurting and keep a record.
· Discuss with pediatrician the possibility of Cortizone Steroids with next illness to see if it corrects the illness within the same day instead of antibiotics
· One possible answer is that Patrick has something rare or unique that has not been described
· Dr. Pressly will be happy to follow up every 2-4 months and continue to repeat blood work
· Look for large red raised circle rash, swollen tender and red joints, Salmon colored rash and document if they occur
Leaning towards diagnosing:
1. Mild Immune Deficiency
2. Systemic Rheumatoid Arthritis
3. Auto Inflammatory Disease (12 different types)

November 23rd Dr. Pressly called. He gave us a prescription start Colchicine daily and see him again in January. The side effects of Colchicine are stomach cramps and diarrhea. Patrick began the new medicine on Wednesday, Nov. 24th. Wednesday evening we enjoyed Thanksgiving Dinner with Gramps and G.G. Patrick was running a low fever and it continued through Friday.

Trick-or-Treating G.G. and Grandpa

Before we headed off to Frenchman’s Bend we stopped for our first trick-or-Treat of the night. The kids were given way too much candy and toys. Their neighbor’s stopped by to say hi on their way down the street. Morgan and Lillian seem to enjoy playing together.

Trick-or-Treating 2010

This was Patrick’s first Halloween not to be sick. He ran from house to house and loved it…. for a few minutes…. then he decided it was more fun to drive the golf cart with his dad. Nana’s neighbors and their daughter, Sarah, went around the neighborhood with us. It was a blast and way too much candy!

October 30, 2010

We decided it would be better to trick or treat on Saturday evening instead of Sunday. We dressed the kids up and they played in the front yard chasing Bogie until it was time to trick or treat the grandparents. Morgan dressed up like a witch with eyes on her back and Patrick dressed up as a cowboy. So much for the skeleton costume!

Nov. 2nd, Visit to the Dr.

Tuesday I stayed home with Patrick because he was running a fever through the night and into the day. That evening his fever spiked to 104 and he vomited. Dr. Stanley confirmed that he did not have Mono or Strep. Patrick started a ten day round of Augmentin. Wednesday he stayed with G.G. and continued little to no appetite and fever. Thursday I stayed home with him and his fever spiked at 103.
