The Jungle Gym

We took the kids to the Jungle Gym. Yes, we know we are crazy. It was right in the middle of several birthday parties and it was packed. Of course, Morgan loved it. Patrick got in the jumper for a little bit, in the balls for a moment and then mainly played in the tree house for little kids.

Patrick was well for six days.

On the sixth day of no fever we received a call from the yellow house. Patrick had fever again. Saturday he continued with 101-104 temperature. Sunday morning Joel took Patrick to see Dr. Stanley. All he could find was a little red in his throat and in one ear. Patrick got a shot of rocephin and was sent home and started a week of antibiotics. After three days of high fever it went down. He had the shakes several times and we assumed that it was from the fever. The lymph node was smaller but still swollen from two weeks ago. Dr. Stanley askeded us to stop the daily patanase and vitamins to see if they were causing the problem. Probably not..... but we were willing to try anything.

When eye shadow goes wrong.

So........ Santa brought Morgan a case of eye shadows. I had my doubts and now they have been confirmed. This is what happens when Morgan is left alone to apply her makeup!

At Home With Patrick

Friday I stayed home with Patrick. His fever was gone but his lymph node was still enormous. He was eating a little and then back to just crying and laying on my shoulder. Yesterday he stayed with G.G. His fever was low until about 11:00 p.m. when he woke up with 104 fever.

Saturday at 4p.m. Patrick snapped out of it. His fever was gone, the swollen lymph node went down a little and he started smiling!!!!! All was well again. Yeah.

105 Fever Two Days in a Row.

Monday Patrick woke up with a low fever. Luckily, G.G. was off work and able to keep him. Joel came home after half of the day working with fever, aches and chills. Tuesday Joel and Patrick were sick at home so I kept them. Both of them went to the Doctor and had a shot of rocephin. Patrick's fever was 105 and his white blood cell count was 33,000. Shortly after the shot he felt much better but the fever began again that night. Wednesday G.G. watched Patrick until we got off work. By 4:30 Patrick was back up to 104.8 and he had another shot of rocephin.

Patrick is 17 months old!

We have noticed that Patrick is trying to say more words. He still wants his pacifier and now he wants to walk around with his green blanket. We are enjoying watching him grow into a little boy!
