G.G. and Patrick update.

Last night I got a call about mom. I went to the hospital and took her down to the ER. I stayed with her until 6am and she stayed there until 1:00 that afternoon. She was then moved to a room where they ran several tests. They speculated that she had a mini stroke.
I took Patrick to Dr. Stanley at 9:30. His fever broke about 5 am and did not return. He screamed almost every minute that he was awake. His throat looked bad so they put him on antibiotics and gave him a shot of decadron. As the day went on, he did not seem better so I decided to take off work again tomrrow to keep him. Will we ever get a break?

Patrick Update

Patrick was up most of the night crying with fever. By 8:00 this morning his fever was gone and he seemed happy so we were hopeful that it was over. By 11:00 it was back up to 103.9 and Joel took him to the after hours clinic. They thought he had either mono or strep and since you can not treat mono, they decided to treat it like strep. Patrick got a shot of rocephin and told us to see Dr. Stanley in the morning. Nana said she would keep him while we go to Morgan's birthday party and G.G. said she will keep him tomorrow and take him to the doctor. What would we do without Grandma's!!!!

The Fair is Back In Town!

Around 3:30, Joel, Morgan and I went to the fair. It was hot! Morgan and I should have worn shorts. This was Joel's first trip to Monroe's fair. He was shocked that they did not have many games. Morgan rode five rides and I think she enjoyed the spinning bears the most. Many of the rides were too loud for her so she did not even want to stand in line beside them. (That's our funny girl. She also covers her ears when a toilet flushes at a public restroom because she is sure it will be too loud.) Nana kept Patrick for us. We did not want to take him with us because he had been running fever for several days. Friday his test results came back from a blood test stating that his immune system was good. No problems they said. Later that evening he threw up a little and we saw spots on his tummy. Most likely this is the end of a virus.

Halloween is coming soon at the Turner's house!

Morgan loves to play dress up so Nana bought her a pirate costume. Morgan can not get enough of it. The other night she asked me to put a costume on Patrick and take pictures of them So....... of course I said yes! Patrick was wearing a spider man costume that we borrowed from Noah. Thanks again Noah!!!!

This is one of Morgan's favorite poses.....pretend talking on the phone.

Morgan's wishes!

The other night while putting Morgan to bed, she said that she wanted us to be mermaids and live in the water when she grows up. Isn't that adorable. To be so care free. Morgan decided that she wants to be a mermaid for Halloween and we found a photo on line of a dress made of tule.

J.C.Penney's four year old portraits.

Morgan was wonderful during the photo shoot. I think she enjoyed it. To help ensure that the photo shoot went well, I reminded Morgan that we were going to visit Noah and Chloe as soon as it was over. I was shocked at how easy it was to sit Patrick down, take out his pacifier, and get him to stay still. Patrick (13 months old) has now been without the pacifier for three days and all is going well.

J.C.Penney's 4 year old portraits.

This is the photo we chose for our bedroom and as her official four year old photo.

Morgan was looking through the available props and found the fairy wings. The wings were for a very small child but she was excited when she found them so I let her take a photo with them. She also suggested that she sit on the log. I think the photo turned out great!

Patrick Update.

A week ago we took Patrick to the Doctor for congestion and fever. We were sent home with several medicines including drops for an infected eye and ears. This Sunday was his last dose of medicine and he started running fever again. Earlier today we took him to the Doctor for congestion, fever and runny nose. We left with several medicines and we were hopeful that it would clear up quickly. In April Stanley ran a test that showed no immune system problems. We are still looking for a reason why he is sick so often.
