Creating A Playground in the Backyard!

Doc and I have been working on the playground for about a week.

Morgan wanted to help.

Patrick tried to pick up the tree.

The Final Product!!

It was so hot that the kids decided to run through the water sprinkler.

We have been swimming three times this summer!

Doc went swimming at Frenchmen's Bend with Morgan, Patrick and I. At first Patrick did not want to get in and just held on to me. Eventually he warmed up to the thought of swimming and even jumped in from the side. We are trying to talk Morgan into taking swimming lessons. She is still afraid of the water so she keeps her floaties on. We have plans to swim at her classmate, Cameron's, house Wednesday and then go bowling. I am certain it will be a blast.

We took Patrick to see the Dr.

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, June 16, 17, and 18th Patrick had fever so he stayed home with Morgan and I. When we took him to see the Dr. his white blood cell count was very low and he seemed to have a virus. After several days his fever stopped and all was well again.
Early Steps has evaluated Patrick and he has qualified for six months of speech therapy. It should begin in July. We can not wait to see how much they can imporve on his very limited vocabulary. Most recently I have heard him say, "Wow Wow Wubzy" and "DAD or DADDY." Patrick is giving out kisses all the time and rarely hitting others. Now if we could just get him to communitcate more with words!

Patrick Obviously Has An Older Sister!

Patrick decided he wanted to put on Morgan's roller skates and accessories. I was not quite fast enough with the camera to get a front shot. For a brief time Patrick was skating through the house while holding on to mom. I could not resist this picture.

It is finally time for the water slide!

Joel came home and fixed the hose so the kids could play on the water slide. Patrick did a good job keeping his ear plugs in and Morgan wished he would ran around and play with her more. We did not even bother with putting on a swim suit for Patrick.

Nana and Morgan

Morgan and Nana seemed to have had a great time posing for photos. Morgan planned ahead by calling Nana to make sure that their clothes matched. Isn't that too cute!

Patrick is 22 months old and feeling great. He loves to march with one hand and he tries to copy everything his big sister does. He is talking more each day. Patrick loves spaghetti and ravioli and he rarely eats his veggies. He is attending Yellow House three days a week for the summer and Morgan is with mom each day. Patrick's favorite game is boxing (imagine that). Patrick is constantly corrected for hitting his sister and taking toys from her. After corrected, Patrick repeats "hi" several times in a sweet voice. This is the longest Patrick has gone without being sick.
