Good Weather Finally!

We are all ready for some warmer weather. Morgan and Patrick have been asking for weeks to go to the park. It was finally warm enough on Saturday.

This was a game of peek-a-boo!

Patrick decided he was a cat and should eat off his plate like an animal. The adults encouraged him.

Thanks to Nikki, Morgan has discovered a DS.

Patrick has the Stomach Bug!

Wednesday, day care called Joel at 8:30 to say that Patrick could not stop throwing up. Joel took him home and the vomiting continued. I came home to let Joel go to work and I took Patrick to see Stanley. He confirmed a stomach bug and sent us home with finagrin. Patrick's white blood cell count was his usual 20,000. We are continuing the fluconazole for his yeast infection and the finagrin seemed to stop the vomiting around 1p.m.. By 6p.m. Patrick was eating cheerios and drinking Pedialyte with out throwing it up. Nana took off work Thursday to keep Patrick since I was out of days for this school year and Joel was very busy at work. Patrick was still running a low fever on Friday so he stayed with G.G. Saturday morning he woke up fever free and feeling fine.

Grandpa Pritchard's Late Birthday Celebration

More Snow Day Photos!

A Dora Birthday Party!

Saturday Morgan, Patrick and I attended Patrick's first Dora Party! Needless to say, he loved it. Morgan made instant friends with a girl her age and spent most of their time playing under the dining table. Patrick spend most of his time running around yelling Dora for fun or yelling about wanting to hold one of the Dora decorations. This is a photo of Patrick standing beside a Dora poster.

Fever Friday, Saturday and Sunday Morning

Friday Patrick started running a low fever and sounded congested. He began crying of a stomach ache and Saturday morning we took him to the doctor. His fever was 102 through the night and he couldn't stop crying about his stomach. Dr. Ricks said he had a sore throat. He gave us a zithromax and a shot of rocephin. Sunday morning the fever continued and Patrick went back to the Dr. for a second round of rocephin. Sunday evening he stopped complaining of stomach pains and he fever was gone. Monday Patrick was not able to go to day care because of the continued stomach pains and his blood was drawn for a test ordered by Dr. Bodron several weeks ago. Tuesday he went to day care but by Tuesday night I took him in to the after hours clinic for stomach pains. They sent off a stool sample and said we should have results in by Thursday night. It is now Wednesday night and his appetite has returned. He only complained twice this evening of a stomach ache. I think he is on the mend! Stool sample results showed a yeast infection and the blood work showed inflamation.

Our First Snow Day in Ten Years!

So... Here we are twelve hours later and the snow is still here. The kids played for about ten minutes. Our clothes are in the dryer and I feel sure that we will go out again several times before noon.

And a snowman to complete our day off school!

Patrick is Ready for Third Grade!

This is Patrick playing on the computer at school with me today! It started snowing so the schools let out early and G.G. brought Morgan and Patrick to me.

This is Patrick playing Superwhy on our computer.

It is 9:00 p.m. and the snow is sticking. We are hopeful that it will be there in the morning so we can make snowmen. Morgan reached out and licked the snow.
