Morgan's First Monroe Mardi Gras
The other weekend Nana and Gramps offered to keep Patrick so we could take Morgan to the Mardi Gras parade. Morgan spent most of the night on her dad's shoulders. Everyone had a blast and Morgan came home with entirely too many beads and cups for a four year old. This was also her first time to go to a parade. I think Patrick enjoyed playing with the beads as much as Morgan did.

Morgan the Mummy or the Skeleton?
Morgan and Patrick enjoy taking baths together. Sometimes it is better said that Morgan "jsut tollerates it." Once Patrick is out, Morgan is allowed to play with the shaving cream. This evening she told me she was a mummy and then she changed it to a skeleton. Of course I was afraid that it was about to get into her mouth so I had her wash it off. Morgan's imagination is amazing to say the least. Last night she was telling me about her repeated dream that an alligator was trying to bite her leg.
Valentine's Day and Good Weather
Patrick and Morgan were ready to get outside again. The weather was wonderful. After a morning of valentines and balloons we decided to ride bikes. Anything Patrick has Morgan wants and anything Morgan has Patrick wants these days. I am sure you can imagine how things go when Morgan wants to ride her bike.
Morgan held on to a valentine teddy bear and she called it her cat. She even made this "cat" a bed inside one of the valentine gift bags and put it beside her bed to sleep.
Patrick was mumbling alot. He waves and says goodbye when someone leaves. Patrick shows us when his diaper is dirty. He grabs his diaper and when we ask him if he needs a diaper change he shakes his head and says yes.

Sunday Joel took Patrick to the doctor
Saturday Patrick began running a fever of 104. His lymph node under his left ear was swollen and his nose began to run. Sunday morning Joel took Patrick to Dr. Ricks. He left with a shot of rocephin and ten days of antibiotics. Today is Monday and Patrick seems to be feeling just fine. The remainder of the week went well. On Friday Joel brought Patrick to the ENT. Dr. Barham scheduled a cat scan at St. Francis North for next Wednesday morning and then a follow up appt. with him on two days later on Friday. He was concerned and wants to take a closer look at his swollen lymph node.
Wednesday we arrived at St. Francis North at 7 a.m. and we were released around 12:15 to go home. Patrick had a double dose of sedation and his veins blew about ten times before they were able to get the iv in. Although Patrick had several bruises, he seemed to do very well.
Joel took Patrick to Dr. Barham for results. We were given two weeks of antibiotics, Omnicef 125 mg. In two weeks Dr. Barham wanted to see Patrick to look at the lymph node. If swelling does not go down he wanted to remove the lymph node and then do a biopsy on it. The cat scan showed that he had a sinus infection, an ear infection and the lymph node was 2 cm. Patrick was been fever free for 13 days!!!!

Our visit with the Dilley's
In early November our neighbors moved about an hour from Monroe. We finally had a chance to visit. Courtland was in town so we made the trip. Morgan talked about Courtland constantly. Cooper and Patrick were the same age so it was fun to watch them together. During our visit we went to the park to let the kids run. Everyone enjoyed it. And.... Morgan enjoyed her first ride on a four wheeler.
