River Oaks Pumpkins On Parade.
Last night Joel and I took Morgan to River Oaks for the annual Halloween celebration while Nana and Gramps kept Patrick. We enjoyed the hot dog supper and Morgan recived a $2 prize for winning 3rd place with her pumpkin. This was the first year to change the treak-or-treating to treak-or-trunk. It was much more enjoyable. Here are some pictures of Morgan in her (mommy made) Ariel costume.

Morgan Reads!
Last weekend I picked up a level 1 reader and read it to Morgan while pointing to the words. The following night G.G. read the same book to her and Morgan new a few of the words on her own. The next night Morgan read almost the entire book to her dad. We are so excited that she is learning to read. You Go Girl!

The kids outside!
The weather was wonderful. I must have said it ten times. The kids decided to play in the front yard on the driveway. Patrick was not walking alone, but he loved to walk behind his walker. I noticed for the first time that when he wanted to go in a different direction he moved his body to the other end of the walker and started walking again. Morgan was enjoying her bike with training wheels.
Morgan wanted to play with the camera remote. I set it up on a tripod and she was able to push the button. You would have thought it was a piece of candy because of how happy it made her.

We celebrated Doc's 54th birthday this evening.
Doc came over and cooked ribs on our grill to celebrate his birthday. Morgan sat in his lap while we sang happy birthday. I told her to sing the loudest and she did. I should have taped it. Even Patrick had to look up at her to see what was going on. Patrick played ball most of the evening. Morgan showed Doc how to play Wii.

Pumpkin Patch 2008!!
Patrick was a real sport. It was very easy to make him smile.
Nana took us to the pumpkin patch and had just as much fun as we did.
Morgan decided to give me a smile as she sat down on the bench and said, "mom, take my picture." Imagine that!
Nana made sure I was in atleast one picture. What would we do with out Nana!

Birthdays, Birthdays, Birthdays!
On October 1st we celebrated Joel and Morgan's birthday with dinner, cake and gifts at Nana's house. Patrick was still sick and spent most of the evening sprawled out on the floor. Morgan moved right along opening all of her gifts and trying to assist dad with his and G.G. helped video tape the event. I think it was a hit. Thanks Nana and Gramps for hosting!
Jungle Gym!
Morgan invited her friends from school to play at the Jungle Gym. She ran the entire time and could not have had more fun. Joel and I took turns video taping the afternoon. We brought nothing and left with gifts and cake. Let me take that back, we did bring two bags of chips. Patrick was sick and stayed at home with Nana.
