May 29th Patrick did not sleep at night. His nose was running and he had a low fever. Early morning he drank his formula and ate half a jar of pears. By noon his fever was up, he was shaking, and his lips turned blue. Dr. Stanley had labs checked and a x-ray. White blood cell count was 22,000. He gave him a shot and said we needed an appt. with an infectious disease Dr.
8:30 Patrick was again shaking with fever and he turned blue. We took him to the after hours clinic. His fever spiked at 105.8 and white blood cell counts were 33,000. We were admitted to St. Francis North and it all happened again at 2:30 a.m. when his fever spiked to 104.4.
May 30th (ten months old)
Fever spiked around 8:00 a.m. with shakes and feet turned blue. It lasted about ten minutes. He took about 4 ounces of pedialite.
Dr. King confirmed that his heart was in good shape.
5:30p.m. Dr. Malmay moved us out of icu and back into a room. Nothing has shown up so far.

Update on Patrick!
On Friday we received test results from Patrick’s most recent Lab work. Everything was normal. Dr. Stanley said that there was nothing to worry about. With any luck, Patrick has outgrown his problem. Although they never pinpointed the problem, they were no longer concerned. Thank you for all the prayers and positive words. Have a wonderful summer!

Patrick just can't look serious with a hair style like that!
I love to spike up Patrick's hair. He is a real sport.
Do not let Morgan fool you. She may act like a grown up, but she just can't get enough of her teddy bears and baby dolls. All of her dolls are named Sarsh. Joel and I find it amusing because Sarah is one of the names we liked for her and again for our second child if Patrick had been a girl.
She is such a poser!

Pulling Patrick around the living room.
Morgan wanted to put Patrick in the "wheelbarrow as she called it" and pull him around the room. Now, I knew this would not be the greatest idea but I said yes anyway. All went well until she got going too fast, tried to back him up, and of course, he fell out backwards. I am sure this is only the first of many things to come for Patrick. Patrick was a good sport anyway.

A collage created through Picasa.
While playing in Picasa I made this Collage. Morgan was playing in Nana and Gramp's backyard one day last week and the weather was wonderful.

Patrick is now 9 months old!
Patrick wants to stand all the time but of course he can not. He is barely crawling. I did, however, let him stand long enough to take these photos.

I played with Actions in Photoshop earlier today.
Patrick is now 9 months old. He will be going to daycare at Mickey's house for the remaining Fridays until I get out for the summer. We are hopeful that he will not get sick as often since he will be around only a few children. This week he had a viral rash and Morgan had Fifths Disease. It sure would be nice to get the children well.
I took this photo of Morgan today while we sat outside at her picnic bench and painted in her coloring book.
