Morgan wanted Nana to have a photo of her in the new dance costume she gave her. She insisted that I set up the lights and use the backdrop.
Our Christmas festivities began on Christmas Eve at Nana and Gramps' house. The food was wonderful and everyone had a blast. Patrick even opened his first gift on his own. We were very excited to see him open gifts.

River Oaks Christmas Program!
The event of the day was.... the Christmas Program. Morgan's school dismissed the whole week at 11:30 so..... no naps were taken. The first photo below was one of many meltdowns before the program. Morgan's tights were on backwards and she got upset.
This photo is of Morgan, as a dove, and Blake as a camel. Both patiently waited for the program to begin.

Santa Clause came to Monroe!
Morgan finally had a chance to see Santa Clause and let him know how much she wants the Hannah Montana pop up light show and stage. This Santa was the best!!! G.G. and I were very impressed. I am certain we will make plans to visit Santa at the Beidenharn Museum every December. Morgan promises to be good so Santa will bring her presents.

Our Tree is Up!
Saturday morning we took the Christmas boxes out of the storage shed and brought them in to decorate the house. Morgan had a blast as usual. She helped put up the tree and helped her dad hang the stockings. All left over decorations went to her room so she could decorate it. Grandma Clark gave her a beautiful small Christmas tree for her room and she hung red bows near her curtains. Patrick wanted to help decorate the tree as well. He would walk up to the tree babbling and try to place an ornament on it. Then he would grab off an ornament and walk away.

Thanksgiving and Gramps' 60th Birthday
Jill and Tom came in town to celebrate Thanksgiving and Gramps' 60th Birthday. The holidays were a success. Everyone ate too much and had a great time. It was so nice that Patrick could walk this year. Now, if we can just stretch his vocabulary.

Day Care Called About Patrick Today
Earlier this morning day care called to let us know that Patrick was turning blue and shaking with fever. Joel picked him up and I met him at my mom's house with Patrick. Joel went back to work and Mom and I watched Patrick until his 3:00 appointment.
At today’s appt. the Dr. could not find anything wrong with him. All tests came back normal and surprisingly his white blood cell counts were low for him. We then went to St. Francis North and had a chest x-ray. I do not expect them to find anything. It has become routine for us to do x-rays just to rule out what might be causing the problem. Patrick is sleeping for now and sweet Morgan is spending the night at her Nana and Gramps' house. Bright and early, Nana will swing by our house and change her clothes. Morgan's class will be dressing up as Pilgrims and Indians and will go singing at a nursing home.
We have an appt. in Little Rock for Dec. 9th to have another Doctor look him over. We are looking for a reason why he is always sick.
Wednesday. Chest x-ray results showed that he had a little bit of bronchitis and a red rash all over. G.G. Kept Patrick.
Thursday. G.G. kept Patrick. He had a full body rash all day, no fever, ate a little, was clingy.
Friday. Nana kept Patrick. At 10 a.m. Nana noticed that Patrick had 104 fever and his arm was blue. Nana and Joel took him in to see Dr. Ricks. Ricks referred us to the Children's hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. We arrived at the E.R. around 6 p.m. Patrick's fever had gone down and his rash was looking a little better. The room was ready for us 8 hours later. Joel had to sleep in the ICU waiting room while I kept Patrick in our room.
Saturday. The rash faded more, no fever, and Patrick seemed well. The team of doctors ran tests, x-rays, and cat scans to look for underlying illnesses. Everything came back normal.
Sunday. No signs of a rash and no fever. We were released and told to run a few more tests in Monroe by Tuesday. We ate dinner with Cliff Masters and his family and then headed home.
Monday. Patrick is very happy and playful today. Once again he is feeling great. We hope it will be a long time before he catches something.
Tuesday, November 25th. G.G. will take Patrick for some blood work. She will keep both kids while Joel and I go to Shreveport to get out of town and visit our friends, Ces and Wes.
THE TEAM OF DOCTORS AT THE CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL AGREED THAT PATRICK IS HEALTHY. HIS BODY HANDLES ILLNESSES DIFFERENT FROM SOME CHILDREN AND THAT IS THAT. WE ARE THANKFUL FOR THE NEWS.

Just Patrick and Mom!
The mom paparazzi appeared again today. Poor Patrick. His fever broke and I got bored. so..... I picked up the camera. Here are a few of my favorite shots. What a trooper! Morgan was at Tinseltown with Hannah enjoying Madagascar 2 so I was able to focus on Patrick. He is now 15.5 months old.
