Blow Up Water Slide

Nana and Gramps rented a water slide for the 4th of July festivities. Morgan and Patrick played in three separate times before it was returned. At first, Patrick would only slide down it on my lap. We must have gone up and down the water slide for almost an hour. Later that evening, Patrick tried it by himself and loved it. Morgan, of course, jumped right on and loved it also.

4th of July Food and Friends

Nana and Gramps invited several neighbors to spend the evening playing on the water slide, eating and shooting fireworks. Everyone brought a dish and Gramps grilled ribs. A storm blew the tent over but the storm did not last long.  We ended the night with some smoke bombs and sparklers.

Pre 4th of July Festivities

Sunday, July 3rd, was a fun day at Frenchman’s Bend Pool and Golf Club. We enjoyed swimming, face painting, snow cones and jumping in the jumpers while waiting for the fireworks to begin.

Roller Skating with Deigo

I picked up the matching Deigo bike helmet for Patrick at our neighbors garage sale. It matched his roller skating gear and he had been asking for a helmet since the St. Jude’s Trike-a-thon. Morgan preferred bike riding over roller skating. She has told me that she is really too old for the Dora skates I bought her last spring.

Waterslide Fun

I set up the slide for Morgan while Patrick and Joel were playing Mario Brothers. Eventually Patrick realized she was playing and he wanted to join in. Joel gave them a little extra push down the slide.

Super Mario Wii Fanatic

One of the first things Patrick says when he wakes up is, “will you play Super Mario Brothers with me?” All day long he wants someone to play with him. Morgan has already learned not play with him because he does not look out for the other player and most of the time he causes the other player to die. Oh well…. It makes him happy so we all spend time playing with him.
